His Holiness GURUJI (Sh. Nirmal Singh Ji) Maharaj
Guruji was born on 7th July 1954, in the Dugri village of Malerkotla, district Sangrur, Punjab. Guruji was born in a humble family. This family had always been blessed by the birth of saints and fakirs through generations, but according to mataji(Guruji’s mother), she had no idea that a “Mahapurush” of such magnitude would be born to her.
गुरुजी का जन्म 7 जुलाई 1954 को पंजाब के संगरूर जिले के मलेरकोटला के डुगरी गाँव में हुआ था। गुरुजी का जन्म एक साधारण परिवार में हुआ था। इस परिवार को हमेशा पीढ़ियों से संतों और फकीरों के जन्म का आशीर्वाद मिला था, लेकिन माताजी (गुरुजी की मां) के अनुसार, उन्हें इस बात का अंदाजा नहीं था कि उनके घर इतने बड़े “महापुरुष” का जन्म होगा।
Childhood
When the pandit(priest) made Guruji’s birth chart, he told Mataji that his child is not just hers but belongs to the entire universe. According to the midwife, the day Guruji born, she saw a snake and a strange kind of bright light fill up the room. Guruji’s body would have a strong fragrance of roses even as and infant. Guruji’s was a different child as compared to normal human, he never soiled his clothes. Guruji went to school at Dugri primary school. Guruji would often go and sit at the dera of sant Sewa dass ji, who was a saint of high order who had renounced worldly life and had a large following.
Guruji’s parents wanted him to concentrate more on studies than spending time with sages. As a young boy, he was often found in the fields sitting on samadhi(meditation) completely unfazed by the burning sun or strong rains. He sometimes helped his father in the farming and the crop harvested would be in large amount compared to others.
जब पंडित (पुजारी) ने गुरुजी की जन्म कुंडली बनाई, तो उन्होंने माताजी से कहा कि उनका बच्चा सिर्फ उनका नहीं बल्कि इसका सम्बन्ध पूरे ब्रह्माण्ड से है। दाई के अनुसार, जिस दिन गुरुजी का जन्म हुआ, उसने कमरे में एक साँप और एक अजीब तरह की तेज़ रोशनी भरी हुई देखी। गुरुजी के शरीर में शिशु अवस्था में भी गुलाब की तीव्र सुगंध होती थी। सामान्य बच्चों कि तुलना में गुरूजी अलग थे, वह कभी भी अपने कपड़े गंदे नहीं करते थे। गुरुजी दुगरी प्राथमिक विद्यालय में पढ़ने गए। गुरुजी अक्सर संत सेवा दास जी के डेरे पर जाते थे, जो उच्च कोटि के संत थे, जिन्होंने सांसारिक जीवन त्याग दिया था और उनके बहुत सारे अनुयायी थे। गुरुजी के माता-पिता चाहते थे कि वह साधु-संतों के साथ समय बिताने के बजाय पढ़ाई पर अधिक ध्यान दें। एक युवा लड़के के रूप में, उन्हें अक्सर खेतों में तपती धूप या तेज़ बारिश से पूरी तरह प्रभावित हुए बिना समाधि (ध्यान) पर बैठे पाया जाता था। वह कभी-कभी खेती में अपने पिता की मदद करते थे और तब फसल की कटाई दूसरों की तुलना में बड़ी मात्रा में होती थी।
Education
He did his college from Malerkotla Govt. college. There are different opinions regarding Guruji’s education, some said that Guruji did double MA in Economics and English, someone said that he did Economics and English, but it does not matter what Guruji studied and Nor are we worthy of making God a topic of discussion.. He spoke fluent English and had beautiful hand writing. He also knew all questions of the tests beforehand as per his friends version. His friends recalls stories of refilling the ink in a pen just by touching it. His professor used to get shocked by his sudden disappearance and reappearance from the classroom.
उन्होंने अपना कॉलेज मलेरकोटला सरकारी कॉलेज से किया। गुरूजी की पढ़ाई को लेकर अलग अलग मत हैं, किसी ने कहा के गुरूजी ने डबल ऍम.ए. की इकोनॉमिक्स और इंग्लिश में, किसी ने बताया कि इकोनॉमिक्स और राजनीतिक विज्ञान में की, लेकिन इस बात से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता के गुरूजी ने क्या पढ़ाई की और न ही हम इस लायक हैं के हम भगवान् को चर्चा का विषय बनाएं । वह प्रवाहमय अंग्रेजी बोलते थे और उनकी लिखावट बहुत सुंदर थी। अपने दोस्तों के अनुसार, उन्हें परीक्षा के सभी प्रश्न पहले से ही पता होते थे। उनके दोस्तों को गुरूजी द्वारा उनके खाली पेन को छूकर उसमें दोबारा स्याही भरने की कहानियाँ याद हैं। उनके अचानक कक्षा से गायब हो जाने और फिर से आ जाने से उनके प्रोफेसर हैरान रह जाते थे।
Their divine pastimes
In other incident, Guruji’s friends wanted him to swim. Since, he never liked getting wet. One day his friends got together and decided to throw him into village well. When Guruji was pushed into the well, his friends were shocked to see that he didn’t hit the water but in fact floating over it. His friends got scared and before they knew it, Guruji was out of the well besides them, with the clothes completely dry. No one till today understood how he came out or why he didn’t hit the water.
उनकी दिव्य लीलाएँ
एक और घटना में, गुरुजी के दोस्त चाहते थे कि वे तैरें। लेकिन, उन्हें भीगना कभी पसंद नहीं था। एक दिन उनके दोस्तों ने इकट्ठे होकर उन्हें गांव के कुएं में फेंक देने का निर्णय लिया। जब गुरुजी को कुएं में धकेला गया, तो उनके दोस्त यह देखकर हैरान रह गए कि वह पानी से नहीं टकराए बल्कि पानी के ऊपर तैर रहे थे। उनके दोस्त डर गए और इससे पहले कि उन्हें पता चलता, गुरुजी कुएं से निकलकर उनके पीछे खड़े थे, उनके कपड़े पूरी तरह सूखे हुए थे। वह बाहर कैसे आये या पानी में क्यों नहीं गिरे, यह आज तक किसी को समझ नहीं आया।
Cosmic Benevolence
Mataji would often send Guruji to get wheat or maize ground from the village grinding mill. He would take the wheat and maize from home and after having it ground, he would distribute it among the needy and the poor. One day Guruji brought a truck load of people home at night and asked his mother to prepare food for them all. After feeding them, he asked them all to rest until he finally let them go early morning. on being asked, he told his family that had he not stopped them and brought them home, they would have ad an accident and died.
Guruji’s father didn’t believe in his way of life, he thought that he was pretending to be godman. One day he woke up to a strange sound in the early morning hours in Jalandhar temple. He saw Guruji walking into the room with a lion walking behind him. He got scared and called the caretaker, who told him that Guruji is meditating in that particular room. That day he believed that his son is no ordinary human being. His parents gradually came to understand that their son is no ordinary man but “God” himself. His mother also started touching his feet and called him Guruji as he is now called by everyone.
लौकिक परोपकार
माताजी अक्सर गुरुजी को गाँव की चक्की से गेहूँ या मक्का पिसवाने के लिए भेजती थीं। वह घर से गेहूँ और मक्का ले जाते और उसे पीसवाकर जरूरतमंदों और गरीबों में बाँट देते। एक दिन गुरुजी रात में लोगों से भरा एक ट्रक घर लाए और अपनी माँ से उन सभी के लिए भोजन तैयार करने को कहा। उन्हें खाना खिलाने के बाद, उन्होंने उन सभी को तब तक आराम करने के लिए कहा जब तक कि अंततः उसने उन्हें सुबह जल्दी जाने दिया। पूछने पर उन्होंने अपने परिवार को बताया कि अगर वह उन्हें रोककर घर नहीं लाते तो वे किसी दुर्घटना में मर जाते।
गुरुजी के पिता को उनकी जीवनशैली पर विश्वास नहीं था, उन्हें लगता था कि वह ईश्वरवादी होने का दिखावा कर रहे हैं। एक दिन वह जलंधर मंदिर में सुबह-सुबह एक अजीब आवाज सुनकर जाग गए। उन्होंने गुरुजी को कमरे में प्रवेश करते देखा और उनके पीछे एक शेर चल रहा था। वह डर गए और केयरटेकर को बुलाया, जिसने उन्हें बताया कि गुरुजी उस विशेष कमरे में ध्यान कर रहे हैं। उस दिन उन्हें विश्वास हो गया कि उनका बेटा कोई साधारण इंसान नहीं है. उनके माता-पिता को धीरे-धीरे यह समझ में आ गया कि उनका बेटा कोई साधारण आदमी नहीं बल्कि स्वयं “भगवान” है। उनकी माँ ने भी उनके पैर छूना शुरू कर दिया और उन्हें गुरुजी कहकर बुलाया जैसे अब उन्हें सभी लोग बुलाते हैं।
A Life of Spiritual Awakening and Compassion
Guruji left his home in 1975 after college and worked at Punjab School Education board in a clerical position in 1983. In his spiritual journey he would often stay with his acquaintances for a few days and then he move from there. He had a spark of spirituality in him right from childhood… says those who knew him then.
No matter where he stayed, people thronged to him for deliverance from diseases or any other problems they had. Soon the news of his powers spread all across Punjab and people of sought him out no matter where he was.
आध्यात्मिक जागरण और करुणा का जीवन
गुरुजी ने 1975 में कॉलेज के बाद अपना घर छोड़ दिया और 1983 में पंजाब स्कूल शिक्षा बोर्ड में क्लर्क पद पर काम किया। अपनी आध्यात्मिक यात्रा में वे अक्सर कुछ दिनों के लिए अपने परिचितों के साथ रहते थे और फिर वहां से चले जाते थे। बचपन से ही उनमें आध्यात्मिकता की चिंगारी थी… ऐसा उन लोगों का कहना है जो उन्हें तब जानते थे।
चाहे वह कहीं भी रहे, लोग बीमारियों या अपनी अन्य समस्याओं से मुक्ति के लिए उनके पास आने लगे। जल्द ही उनकी शक्तियों की खबर पूरे पंजाब में फैल गई और लोग उन्हें ढूंढने लगे, चाहे वह कहीं भी हो।
Mahasamadhi
Guruji Maharaj left his human form and attained Mahasamadhi on 31st May 2007. Guruji’s Samadhi is in Bade Mandir, Bhati Mines, Chattarpur(New Delhi). There is no successor to Guruji’s throne, it is Guruji’s word that Neither was anyone on the throne before him nor would anyone come to the throne after him.
महासमाधि
गुरूजी महाराज ने 31 मई 2007 को अपना मानव चोला छोड़ कर महासमाधि ले ली। गुरूजी कि समाधि बड़े मंदिर, भाटी माइंस, छत्तरपुर(नयी दिल्ली) में है। गुरुजी की गद्दी का कोई उत्तराधिकारी नहीं है, यह गुरुजी का वचन है कि ना उनसे पहले कोई गद्दी पर था और ना उनके बाद कोई इस गद्दी पे आएगा।
